Welcome to my Substack! I'm thrilled to have you here as I embark on this exciting journey of sharing my experiences and insights with you.
My story begins back in 2009 when I first embarked on my career as a singer. From the very beginning, my passion for music led me to record songs and start a live performance career. My songs have found their way onto popular digital streaming services, with over 300,000 downloads and listeners from all around the world.
A career high came when I released a cover version of Nina Simone’s 'My Baby Just Cares For Me’ and it caught the attention of her family.
But my musical journey didn't stop there. Alongside my singing career, I ventured into the realm of DJing, spinning tracks at festivals, weddings, and corporate events. Starting off by very cheekily asking to DJ at a friend’s nightclub, it was during these performances that I really learned my craft and eventually sharing bills with renowned artists like the Artful Dodger, Example, Professor Green, Katy B, Majestic, and MC Kie. As with all my performances I try to create incredible energy and an atmosphere to enjoy music in the moment.
Alongside my own singing and DJ career, I ran a successful business as a music booking agent. In this role, I supplied talented singers, DJs, and other entertainers to bars, restaurants, weddings and corporates throughout southern England. It was a fulfilling endeavour, connecting talented artists with venues and creating unforgettable experiences for music lovers and creating opportunity for talented entertainers.
Despite my passion for music, life took an unexpected turn when I realised I needed to explore my passion for politics and making a difference in my community. I joined the Conservative Party where I championed legislation to introduce self-defence training into the school curriculum, pushed for all-night street-lighting to help lower crime, and engineered a campaign to put a stop to tower block developments in Basildon in favour of more community based homebuilding.
It was in December 2021, however, that my political career took a monumental, yet pivotal, turn: I quit my position as the chairman of the South Basildon Conservatives LIVE on the BBC in protest over COVID regulations.
Since then, I've ventured into the world of television and radio, becoming a familiar face on prominent news platforms such as BBC News, Sky News, Talk TV, GB News, and many others. This pivot has allowed me to broaden my horizons and share my perspectives on a wider scale, engaging with diverse audiences and encouraging thought from outside the box.
Through this Substack, I aim to combine my experiences in music, politics, and media to bring you a unique blend of insights, stories, and thought-provoking content.
